Special Gifts

We identify special giving emphases through the year, including some Doing Good projects and periodic needs or opportunities that arise in the life and ministry of Valley. When you give online, you can designate your gift to one of those special purposes. If you’re giving by check, simply write your designation in the Memo line, or include a note with your instructions.

Planned gifts

Planned gifts to Valley are generally channeled through our Foundation.

What is the Valley UMC Foundation?

The Valley UMC Foundation is organized for religious, charitable and educational purposes within the scope of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation enables church members to easily and effectively support the mission of the church immediately or through their will. Donors can contribute a variety of assets, such as: cash, appreciated assets and real estate.

What is an Endowment?

You have the opportunity to benefit the church forever by contribution to the Foundation’s endowment. Your gift will be invested over time and the earnings will be used to make grants that benefit the church needs, primarily through educational scholarships, missions and capital improvements. Other designations may be possible in consultation with our Foundation.
