  • Your Voice is Needed Now More Than Ever. VOTE ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7.
  • School Board elections are becoming more and more partisan. The Social Principles of the United Methodist Church have many statements about public education, and about our political responsibility. This is not the year to say, “I don’t have any kids in school, it doesn’t matter if I vote.” If you don’t feel you know enough about these races, several respected organizations (Iowa State Education Association, Iowa Federation of Labor AFL-CIO, Interfaith Alliance of Iowa Action Fund, One Iowa Action, and Progress Iowa) have made recommendations that you can find at If your district is not listed, contact a local teacher, as most local teacher associations have made recommendations. After you have done your homework, remember to vote on Tuesday, November 7.
  • November Bake Sale Pre-Order Forms: Mark your calendars for our traditional bake sale after worship on Sunday, November 19.
